Your Life Plan serves as your personal finish line, while the Execution Dashboard serve a similar purpose for yourself and your organization:

Life Plan How To’s:

  • Each of the ten categories has one Life Goal, two mid-term 2020 goals and three annual goals that contribute to the larger goal. You’ll find its quite prescriptive (which we consider a key strength), and has a complementary flexibility built into it, allowing for a total Life Plan refresh at the end of each year.
  •  Consider the Life Plan as a source of motivation to dream big dreams and make them possible to achieve. Use it as a scorecard and a reminder to have a balanced life with small, meaningful and regular steps.
  • The Life Plan is not your whole life – it is just a snapshot of things you absolutely want to achieve and remember that there is no penalty or jail time if you don’t achieve each and every goal.

Use the below guiding questions to discover your Life Goals

Execution Dashboard How To’s:

  • Consider the Execution dashboard as a tool that makes the unachievable achievable by breaking down large goals into actionable steps. Remember to work backward from a big goal and break it down including all elements in one page.
  • Execution Dashboards must include vision, mission, values, stakeholders, operations and the organisation; the impact of what is being done for stakeholders, operations and the organisation.
  • Each goal has to have a champion responsible for a project with timelines and milestones for monthly delivery that use a traffic light system to ensure progress is captured and measured.
  • And remember that goals are an outcome and not a process.

I am very proud to be your student and a life time beneficiary of your benevolence. Your personal effort at setting up this platform for the benefit of mankind is practically in tune with your life-time goal. The manner of presentation of the course itself with very rich content is a further testimony of your personal Execution plan. Finally, the simplicity but deepness in conveying your message is the way to choose to share your story. Sir, the only dissapointment I will give to you is by not appying all what you have taught me. I therefore promise to carry this new knowledge to my work place and interaction with the larger society whether in profit or not-for profit ventures. You have equipped me with a new skill, now i have to use it. Thank you sir. To my classmates, I must also congratulate us for staying on the end of the course. You will agree with me that it was worth the time and effort. To my GLOBAL LEADERSHIP NETWORK teammates I say congratulations and hope that this relationship will last forever. Once more, thank you Dr. Amr Al Dabbagh.

Our young NGO has stagnated in certain areas. I have been trying to a large portion of the work myself. I did not feel as though we were far enough along that people would want to be involved on a volunteer basis. I was not collaborating, using Honey as money or sharing our story with the right people.

This course has shown me how to take the next leap forward and bring in members of the Board to take a more active role. It has led the members to feel more involved and more as thought they have a stake in the NGOs success. I am now delagating larger and larger portions of the work and using both the Life Plan and the Execution Dashboard to manage not only the work, but my time with family and school as well.

The Plan and the Dashboard offer clear boundaries of who, what, when, where and how to get each goal and ultimately to the finish line. Iam now fully aware that all of this can fall apart so easily if I do not continually Execute. I am having regular meetings with Board and assign tasks to different members. So very exciting. Thank you so much for allowing me to participate.

A few days before completing the course, I landed a job as Executive Director with a non-profit advocacy organization promoting progressive ideas. The leadership class with Amr has provided me with a great model for thinking about how I will proceed in my new jobs as I balance my persona goals with my professional goals, and how to achieve organizational outcomes. I Aim therefore I am!

Awesome, thanks much.

Thank you so much for a wonderful course! I loved how the assignments forced us to think critically, but also to express ourselves creatively. This was my first Philanthropy University class, but definitely won't be the last. I hope to meet some of you again in future classes.

Thank you so much for a wonderful course! I loved how the assignments forced us to think critically, but also to express ourselves creatively. This was my first Philanthropy University class, but definitely won't be the last. I hope to meet some of you again in future classes.

I also hope to use the confidence I've gained from the course in my work. This is a different approach than most non-profits in the US take, but I believe a much better one.

I don't know how to show y gratitude except to recommend it to my colleagues - an A+ class!
